How to Interpret Multi-Select Question Review Follow
Some users may think that Penda marked a wrong answer right, or that Penda is changing answers. This confusion may be the misinterpretation of grading of multi-select questions.
When you click the Review button at the end of an activity that you complete, you have the ability to review the activity screen by screen. This includes question screens. One question screen that often is misinterpreted is the multi-select screen, where there are multiple checkboxes that can be selected. Each checkbox is worth 1 point. Think of each checkbox as its own question – should it be checked or not, based on the question being asked.
When reviewing the activity, your correct answers choices are marked in green. The score box at the bottom of each screen will let you know how many choices you answered correct out of the total number of answer choices.
The student will see a
or
for each answer that is correct.
The
means that not selecting this answer is the correct choice.
Some students may mistakenly interpret
as the answer that should be selected during the next attempt, when actually, not selecting the answer (not checking the box) is correct.
