How Do Students Log In to Penda? What is the Account ID, username, and password? Follow
Students can log in to Penda in two ways, your Single Sign-On (SSO) or directly on the Penda website.
Option 1: Using Your School’s SSO (Clever or ClassLink)
Note: Your district’s IT team must have already set up SSO with Penda for this to work.
If your school uses Clever or ClassLink, students can:
1. Log in to their usual school portal
2. Find and click the Penda Learning icon
3. First-time login only: Students will need to enter three pieces of account information (see below). After that, SSO will log them in automatically in the future.
Option 2: Using the Penda Website
1. Students can go directly to www.PendaLearning.com.
2. Click login in the top right corner and select the role of student.
3. Students will need to enter three pieces of account information (see below). They will need to do this each time they log in via the Penda website.
Three pieces of account information:
1. Account ID
Generally, the district name or a combination of numbers and letters
- Provided to teachers and admins at the start of the school year
- Students should ask their teacher for it
To find the Account ID as a teacher, see image below:
- Type the student’s name in the search bar (top-right)
- Click their name to open their Student Profile
- The Account ID appears under their username
2. Username
Student usernames are usually based on one of the following:
- Student ID number
- Student email
To find a student’s username, see image above:
- Type the student’s name in the search bar (top-right)
- Click their name to open their Student Profile
- The Username appears next to their avatar
3. Password
By default, the password = same as the username
- For the first login, students enter their username in both fields
Students can change their password (after first login):
- Click the avatar icon in the top-right corner
- Select Account
- Update the password (must be at least 8 characters)
Having Trouble Logging In?
If a student can’t log in, teachers can try the following:
1. Check Account ID & Username (see image above)
- Use the search bar (top-right) to find the student
- Click their name to open their profile
- The Username is shown next to the avatar
2. Reset the Password
- On the student profile, scroll to Set New Password
- Enter and confirm a new password
- Passwords must be at least 8 characters (letters, numbers, and symbols recommended)
- Click Save
