How to Create Groups Across Multiple Classes for School Admins
As a School Administrator, you have the unique ability to create intervention groups that span across multiple classes or grade levels. This allows for targeted RTI (Response to Intervention) Level 2 support and efficient differentiation of instruction for specific student needs throughout your school.
Create a Group
Step 1 - Navigate to New Group wizard:
- On the left navigation bar, under Organization, click on Groups.
- Click on the New Group icon
Step 2 - Complete the New Group Wizard:
- Name the Group - Enter a clear, recognizable name (e.g., Grade 5 Science Remediation - Tier 2 or "Standard SC.5.P.8.1 Intervention").
- Select the appropriate grade level if prompted.
- Check the I agree checkbox, to agree that any teacher added to this group may see student data for classes other than their own.
- Add Teachers - Click Continue to have the ability to select students from all classes, or just select teachers of certain classes you are selecting students from.
- Add students - Click the plus icon
to add a student to the group, or the remove icon
to remove students from a group and click Continue.
- Confirmation - Review and click Finish to finalize.
Edit a Group
Step 1 - Navigate to a group
- On the left navigation bar, under Organization, click on Groups.
Step 2 - Edit a group
- Click on the edit icon
next to the group you want to edit.
- Add or Remove students - Click the plus icon
to add a student to the group, or the remove icon
to remove students from a group.
- Click Update to finalize.
Pro-Tips for Admins
- Students can be in multiple groups if needed.
- Students will not see the group name.
