Change Student Account Passwords

If a student has forgotten their password or needs a reset to regain access to Penda Science, administrators and teachers can manually update these credentials within the platform..

Step 1: Locate the Search Bar

• In the top right corner of your Penda dashboard, you will find the Universal Search Bar.

• Tip: You can use this bar to quickly find students, assignments, or specific activities.

Step 2: Search for the Student

• Type the student's name into the search bar. As you type, matching results will appear in a dropdown menu.

Step 3: Navigate to the Student's Profile

• Click on the student’s name from the search results. This will take you directly to that student’s profile page.

Step 4: Reset the Password

• On the student's profile page, locate the password reset section:

1. Enter New Password: Type the new password into the designated field.

2. Confirm Password: Type the new password again to confirm.

3. Save: Click the Save button to finalize the change.

Pro-Tips for Teachers

• Students have the ability to change their passwords, resetting the passwords is a first step in troubleshooting student access to Penda.
• Standard Formatting: For many districts, student passwords are set to match their Student ID or username by default.
• Case Sensitivity: Ensure students are aware that passwords are case-sensitive. It is often recommended to keep usernames and passwords in lowercase for simplicity during initial setup.
