Assignments Page

Welcome to your Penda Science Assignments Page! This is your central hub for tracking your progress, finishing your science activities, and seeing how you stack up against your classmates.

Here is a quick guide on how to navigate the three main sections of the page:

1. New Assignments

This section lists all your active work. These are assignments that have started but haven’t reached their expiration date yet.

• Finding your work: You can use the Search bar to type in a specific assignment name, or use the Sort by feature to bring the closest due dates to the top.

• ⚠️ Important Note: If you use Canvas, Schoology, or Google Classroom, you might not see assignments here. In those cases, you must complete the work directly inside your school's portal (like Canvas) rather than the Penda page.

• Don't Wait: If you don't start at least one activity in an assignment, it will disappear entirely once it expires!

2. Completed Assignments

Once you finish an assignment, it automatically moves down to this section.

• Improving your score: If you want to get a better grade, you can click the Retry button. You can even do this after the expiration date has passed!

• Filtering: Use the Start date - End Date filters or sort by Score to find assignments where you might want to try for a higher percentage.

• Partial Credit: If you finish some (but not all) parts of an assignment before it expires, it will move here automatically once the deadline passes.

3. Leaderboard

Ready for some friendly competition? The Leaderboard shows how you rank against your peers.

• How to join: You will appear on the leaderboard once you have completed at least 3 assignments.

• Earning points: Your points are the total of your highest scores on class activities.

• Pro Tip: To keep things fair, only work finished on time (before the expiration date) counts toward your Leaderboard score.

• Privacy: If you’d rather keep your scores private, you can hide yourself from the leaderboard. See this article Student UI - Student Avatar and Rewards Bar
