How to View and Download Usage Reports (Teacher Guide)
As a teacher, monitoring student engagement and progress is essential for data-driven instruction. Penda Science provides "Quick Reports" to help you analyze usage across your classes in just a few clicks.
The Usage Report provides an overview of class use, including:
Engagement Hours: Total time spent by the class.
Hours Per Student: The average time each student has spent on activities.
Active Students: The count of students who have logged in and completed work.
Engagement Hours Outside School: Data on student work completed after school hours.
Step 1: Select Your Class
On the left-hand navigation bar, look under the My Classes section and click on the specific class you wish to view.
Step 2: Open Quick Reports
Scroll down, to the class sub-menu that appears, then click on Quick Reports.
Step 3: Navigate to the Usage Report
From the dropdown options, select Usage Report. This will take you to the report's summary dashboard.
Step 4: View and/or Filter Data
Use the filters at the top of the dashboard to view data for a specific Date Range, Course, or Grade.
By default, Withdrawn students are hidden from this report to keep results focused on currently enrolled students. To view all students, simply move the Include Withdrawn Students toggle to the ON position.
Step 5: Download the Report
To save a copy for your records, click the green Download Report button at the top right of the screen.
